On August 12th of this year, Charlie’s Pizzeria celebrated 45 years in Sunset Park. Owner Joseph Vieni, who inherited the shop from his father, says it’s the worst year he’s ever had.

    I’ve been eating at Charlie’s since I was a little bitty munchkin. (I’m 27 now) It saddens me to think that one day Charlie’s could not be here anymore. Go out and get a slice my brooklynites! 5th ave between 49th and 59th. Enjoy!
